Note: To add new members of staff, who can view all properties, add new people etc, you need to be an Office Administrator.
Adding a new user is just like adding a new person, but you tick the "Allowed to log in" box
The only difference between adding a new user and adding any other type of person is that you have to tick the Allowed to login box when when you create the person. Then you just need to fill out some more information about what privileges you would like them to have.
Here's a short video which demonstrates the process:
Step by step
- Click the People tab
- Type part of the new person's name into the search box, just to check they aren't already in the system
- Click Add new Person
- Fill out the new person's details, then click Create
- Scan an ID Card or Fob for the new person, or uncheck the Assign ID Card box to skip this step
- Click the Allowed to Login box
- Select the Office/Department for the new user - this will control what information they see in the Keyrings Screen and Reports
- Fill out a Password and make a note of this to provide to the new user.
-
Set the user's Role:
Use Key Holder for contractors and any staff to whom you want to restrict access. Key holders cannot see the full property list and can only work with keys that have been signed out to them.
Use Key Controller to give staff full access to your property list, and allow them to sign out keys to other people, and add new people, properties and keyrings into Keyzapp
Use Office Administrator if you want to allow the new user to be able to edit other users' passwords, and edit the layout of Key Cabinets etc. - Click Submit
